Mohamed Zeeshan

Mohamed Zeeshan is a foreign affairs researcher, columnist and the author of Flying Blind: India’s Quest for Global Leadership (Penguin 2021). He is currently Senior Editor of the South Asian Voices journal at The Stimson Center, a columnist for South China Morning Post, and author of ‘The Z Factor’ - a Sunday monthly column in the Deccan Herald, a leading Indian daily. He has also written on international political and economic issues for The Washington Post, The Straits Times, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Telegraph, The Diplomat, The National Interest, Haaretz and other leading publications around the world. 

 

Zeeshan previously worked as Research Officer at The Carter Center in Washington, and served with Kearney, the global consulting firm, advising governments in the Middle East on economic modernization. In that capacity, he was involved in strategizing the G20 summit in Riyadh 2020 and helped conclude a major multilateral declaration on cybersecurity.

Zeeshan's core areas of expertise include the impact of geopolitics on global businesses, the future of trade and globalization, and the evolving policy landscapes of emerging economies. He holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs from Columbia University and is currently based in Washington, DC.
